General Regulations


1. Date and place:

FIMAQH 2010, organized by the Argentine Chamber of Machine Tools, Capital Goods and Services for Production – CARMAHE, will take place at Costa Salguero Centre, Av. Costanera R. Obligado and J. Salguero, City of Buenos Aires, from September 9th – 14th, 2010.
Opening hours: Opening hours: Thursday 9th: 2.00 pm – 7.00 pm.
Friday 10th - Tuesday 14th :10.00 am – 7.00 pm.


2. Accepted products

Exhibited products must be new and included in one of the following categories:

Machine-tools for the metal-mechanical industry
Material testing and surface treatment machines
Woodworking machines
Other machinery
Tools / Tooling
Material, parts, components and accessories
Automation systems and equipments
Metrology, Quality control
Services related to the metal-mechanical industry
Software

It is allowed to exhibit a scale model of the machines / systems that, due to their complexity or size, can not be exhibited. Scale models should be approved by the Organizing Committee.
Exhibited products should match those listed on Form nº 5 “Products declaration” submitted by the exhibitor and approved by the Organizing Committee.
Exhibiting used and / or refurbished products is not allowed.
Exhibitors are not allowed to put products on display if they are not authorized to use the brands such products display; or if they do not own every copyright over such products.
Exhibitors should remove from the venue every product containing features beyond those stated within these regulations. Otherwise, the Organizing Committee will remove such products, charging the exhibitor.


3. Exhibitor - Admission

Companies intending to participate in FIMAQH 2010 must fi ll in the Form nº 1 “Registration form”, acknowledging the acceptance of these General Regulations and its clauses.
The Organizing Committee owns the right to reject the Registration Form, being its decision fi nal.
As a warranty to the faithful observance of these Regulations, the Exhibitor must submit a demand note for an amount equivalent to 20% (twenty percent) of the net value of the leased area. Such note must be delivered at CARMAHE offi ces before August 2, 2010. The afore-mentioned document will be exchanged for the ‘Leaving Certifi cate’ by the Pavilion’s Intendant upon confi rmation of the excellent conditions of the stand. The exchange may be carried out as of October 14th, 2010 and will take place at CARMAHE Administrative Offices.
Sublease is not allowed. Should the exhibitor be a group of joint companies, the approval of Organizing Committee must be requested.
Space will be awarded by legal proceedings. The Organizing Committee will decide on the location, date and time set to that end.
Space will be awarded directly to those companies requesting the larger area on their corresponding industrial field. A draw should be made if the same amount of space is requested by companies sharing the same fields of industry. In every case, the selection order will be by decreasing quantity of requested square meters. In order to be awarded a lot, a representative from each company should attend the ceremony and at least 30% of the total requested area should have been paid.
The Organizing Committee owns the right to modify the original distribution as far as the overall interests of the trade fair demand so.


4. Cost of area lease

Basic lease cost / m2: set by Circular Nº 1 attached to this handbook. Prices included in such circular might be modifi ed by subsequent circulars.
Basic lease cost / m2 is set by the amount prevailing at the time the fi rst installment is paid.

Discounts:
a)15% to CARMAHE members whose memberships are paid as of October 31st, 2009.
b) 10% to exhibitors associating to the CARMAHE, should they pay two years’ membership in advance.
c) 5% to exhibitors who are not members, but took part of FIMAQH 2008.
d) 5% to exhibitors registering as members before June 30th, 2009.

DISCOUNTS DESCRIBED IN a), b) AND c) CAN BE COMBINED WITH DISCOUNT DESCRIBED IN d), ONLY.

The following services are included:
Crane services to place products arriving at the venue. Deconsolidation and / or unpacking.
Fire insurance for contents up to USD 5,000 and Civil liability, up to USD 50,000 (USD 2,000 deductible).
Mailing self-adhesive stamps.
Free of charge invitations.
Distribution of catalogues to visitors.
Publication on the Fair’s Catalogue.
An auditorium available for technical conferences, receptions, etc.
Venue’s general lighting.
Central HVAC.
Cleaning service for halls and common areas.
Exhibitor’s identification sign.
General security service.
Emergency medical services.
Free parking space during the stand construction and dismantling.
Credentials for the Exhibitor, its staff and service providers.

Financing:
Lease may be paid in equal and monthly consecutive installments. The total amount for the lease should be cancelled 30 days before FIMAQH 2010 starts without exceptions whatsoever. Otherwise, access to the venue will not be permitted. Installments should be paid within 15 days from the date on the invoice.
Should a delay occur beyond those fi rst fi ve days (as of the fi fth day of each month); a daily interest would be applied equal to 0.1% of the unsettled installment.
Should the Exhibitor cancel the contract, the Exhibitor looses any right to credit the amounts paid as lease and / or services; and CARMAHE will be empowered to dispose of the lot.
Automatic default is established for unpaid installments. Therefore, should three consecutive installments be unpaid, CARMAHE will be empowered to rescind the contract with no obligation to compensate the debtor company; and to dispose of the reserved lot.


5. Publicity

Exhibitors may display, project and distribute leafl ets and publicity material inside their stand as long as its contents does not inflict legal regulations in force. Participating in our trade fair leasing a stand is a necessary condition to exhibit, project or promote brands, products or services. Should that condition be not met, the presence of trade marks, posters, leafl ets, digital media, displays or other third parties POP elements will be forbidden; except for those previously approved by the Organizing Committee, who will look after the interest of other exhibitors. If promoting actions of a brand whose manufacturer or dealer has no stand at FIMAQH are detected, the involved Exhibitor shall pay for such violation the amount corresponding to 20 m2 of lease area. Distribution of publicity and / or promotion is not allowed on hallways or common areas. Price lists and sale conditions should not be exhibited, either.

Loudspeakers, artistic performances and draws to attract visitors are not allowed.

Every exhibitor is responsible for every tax, fee, etc. arising from the use of sound, video, and so forth.


6. Liabilities

Exhibitors are responsible for personal and / or material damages caused inside the venue by their personnel, vehicles or properties, or by personnel hired by them.
Exhibitors will be held responsible for damages and prejudices that might deviate from the unauthorized use of trade marks; or regarding the violation of intellectual rights property over products exhibited at their stands or included on the publicity distributed at their stands.
CARMAHE will not be held responsible for the damage or injuries the exhibitor, its personnel, hired staff or goods might suffer during the exhibitor’s stay in the fair.
CARMAHE will not recognize any compensations arising from theft, petty theft, fi re, lightning, tempest, fl ood, water, humidity, sabotage, or any other damage whichever origin might have.
CARMAHE advises to maximize security measures at their stands during the assembly / dismantling process, phases in which the risk of robbery increases.
Every exhibitor should cover its liabilities and goods by means of an insurance covering civil liability, fi re, damage / injury to its staff and / or goods.
Should imported products be exhibited, it is the exhibitor’s responsibility to have every import paper available to potential inspections by Customs.
Exhibitors undertake to indemnify CARMAHE should any situation under the Exhibitor’s responsibility occurs as established above.


7. Insurance:

Exhibitors are responsible for civil liability and / or damage to third parties taking place inside the limits of their stand.
Notwithstanding, CARMAHE will provide a fi re insurance covering up to USD 5,000 and a civil liability coverage for USD 50,000 (USD 2,000 are deductible) to every exhibitor. Those who wish to enlarge their policy will be charged accordingly.


8. Subsequent communications:

These Technical and General Guidelines will be complemented with circulars. Such communications will be send through our web site and be as valid as this Handbook. Under no circumstances, Exhibitors can claim ignorance of such circulars.



9. Dispute resolutions

This Regulations and the original contract are ruled by the law of the Republic of Argentina. Should legal actions occur between the parties, the Spanish version of these Regulations will be held valid.
CARMAHE and the Exhibitor specially constitute the following addresses:
CARMAHE at Av. Julio A. Roca 516, 3º Floor, City of Buenos Aires.
The Exhibitor, at the address declared in the registration form.
Legal residences are valid for any service of process or extrajudicial proceedings that might arise regarding this Regulations or the execution of the obligations assumed by the parties relating to FIMAQH 2010.
CARMAHE and the Exhibitor agree to submit to jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of the City of Buenos Aires in relation to any claim related to this Regulation or the Contract.
